Kaitlin Monte joined the PIX11 Morning News in June of 2014. She was previously seen on WNBC’s Today in New York weekly as host of their weekly interactive trivia segment, on LXTV’s “First Look,” and as host of SNYtv’s “Mets Insider.” Monte also hosts a cocktail segment on the WPIX exclusive entertainment show “Celebrity Tastemakers.”

Monte is a nationally recognized political and community advocate for New York State anti-bullying political and community policy. Named the 2012 Anti-Defamation League’s “No Place for Hate” Difference Maker of the Year, her award winning school workshop series has reached over 50,000 students across New York State. Monte collaborated with lawmakers on the crafting of contemporary New York State cyber bullying legislation, launched the first state cyberbully census which gathered contemporary data from 10,000 students state-wide. Her keynote workshop has been featured by Random House Publishing, New York University, Pricewaterhouse Cooper, the Alliance for Community Media and in partnership with the 2012 “Bully” documentary.

Monte attended Clarkson University’s Clarkson School at age 16 followed by University of Tampa, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree at age 19. In 2009, Monte became a performer for the USO Show Troupe, the official entertainment group for the United Services Organization which provides musical performances and entertainment for American military personnel and families.​

Representing her home state of New York, Monte finishing 2nd runner-up at the 2012 Miss America competition. In addition to her top three finish, Monte was awarded state and national lifestyle & fitness scholarships. She was one of eight national finalists for the AMWAY Quality of Life scholarship, which recognizes women for measurable civic impact. Monte chose “Anti-Bullying through Leadership” as her personal platform, providing comprehensive advocacy ranging from in-school presentations to legislative efforts.​

Prior to entering Broadcast full-time, Monte worked in digital media as Director of Multi-Platform Marketing. A longtime video gamer, Monte spends her afternoons saving the princess from yet another castle.
