    STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 9-year-old Staten Island boy was stabbed while walking to school Friday morning. Police say the boy was near P.S. 44 in Mariner’s Harbor around 8:15 a.m., when the suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him three times.   • Arrest made in Brooklyn tire slashing that affected at least 40 cars

    MIDWOOD (PIX11) — An arrest was made in the Brooklyn tire slashing rampage that affected at least 40 cars early Sunday morning. Cops say between 50 and 70 tires were affected by the act of vandalism from Quentin Road to Avenue S and East 17th Street to Bedford Avenue. Eduard Ivashcenko, 21, who reportedly lives in the area, was charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief.     QUEENS (PIX11) — No bomb was found on a New York-bound flight that landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport Sunday after authorities received a threat involving the aircraft, officials said.     NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (PIX11)– In the short span of three weeks, at least five Rutgers University students have been robbed. While students are relieved an arrest has been made, they say more could be done to help them feel safe.
