Chris is the co-host of New York Living, PIX11’s lifestyle show airing Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. He joined PIX11 in December 2021 as a meteorologist for the Morning Show from 4-6 a.m.
Prior to WPIX, Chris was the meteorologist for WNBC’s morning show, Today In New York for nearly 24 years. While there, he also served as the fill-in weather anchor for Al Roker on NBC’s Today Show as well as their regular weekend weather anchor for two years.
Chris has covered many significant weather events in his broadcasting career, including crippling blizzards, severe weather, tropical storms and Superstorm Sandy, and how they impacted the largest TV market in the country, New York City, and the Tri-State region.
While at WNBC, Chris had the opportunity to interview many celebrities; his favorite icon was Elton John.
Chris was also a broadcast meteorologist at WROC-Rochester, NY, WNEP-Scranton, PA, WLWT-Cincinnati, OH and WTXF-Philadelphia.
In addition, Chris served as a broadcast meteorologist for private weather services, Metro Weather, and Compu-Weather. There, Chris delivered daily weathercasts to more than 100 various radio stations throughout North America.
Chris currently co-hosts a podcast on the Bleav Podcast Network called The Middle Age Warriors. He also has a blog entitled What’s Next Chris and has developed and produced a cooking show that he co-hosts with his partner called Chris & Edmi’s Kitchen, which can be found on all of Chris’ social media and also on his website.
Chris has lectured and spoke about the weather and his career to thousands over the years, ranging from 1st graders to college grads to senior citizen organizations.
He has been honored by various organizations for his work done to help The United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island, M.S. organizations in New York & New Jersey, and many others through the last 30 years.
Chris has received the prestigious Findley Award and Townsend Harris Medals from his alma mater — The City College of New York.
He is also the recipient of four local Emmy Awards for his work with WNBC.
He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the Television Seal of Approval from the organization.
Chris is also a licensed New York State realtor. He’s appeared in several movies and series as an extra for Netlix, AppleTV, and Amazon Prime.
Chris has two grown children and enjoys spending time with them by attending various live concerts (75 shows of The Dave Matthews Band) as well traveling the world to enjoy various cultures and cuisines.
