Aaron Feis is the audience engagement producer at PIX11 News. He joined the WPIX team in 2022 and has covered news since 2010.
He previously worked for the New York Post, most recently as a staff writer. In that capacity, he specialized in coverage of crime and politics — from New York City to the national level — but took pride in his versatility. Notable stories in which he led team coverage include: the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant in a California helicopter crash; the COVID-19 pandemic; the 2020 presidential election; and the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Additionally, he took the lead on a special print insert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 lunar landing.
During his time with the Post, he also served as a field reporter and police bureau reporter, covering NYPD and FDNY stories from 1 Police Plaza in Lower Manhattan.
A proud lifelong New Yorker, he’s happy to return to a focus on local coverage with New York’s Very Own.
