LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens — Philip Garcia was in Queens driving to the Home Depot when a rusty bolt fell onto the roof of his car from the elevated subway tracks above.
It fell from the tracks above, where the N and W trains run, near the corner of Jackson Avenue and Queens Plaza South. If it was just a few inches closer to the driver seat, it could have killed him.
