Man struck, firefighters injured in crash involving FDNY trucks: officials

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A dozen people, including one pedestrian and many firefighters, were injured in a crash involving several cars and at least two FDNY firetrucks in Brooklyn Tuesday night, the FDNY said.

Reports came in just before 10 p.m. for the crash on Rogers Avenue, near Crown Street in Crown Heights, officials said.

Authorities said a 68-year-old man was struck during the crash and was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Eleven firefighters also sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the crash, the FDNY said.
