Person fatally struck by NJ Transit train: authorities

NEW JERSEY — A person was struck and killed by a train in New Jersey, impacting the Friday morning commute. 

Authorities said the person was stuck by a New Jersey Transit train in Millburn around 7 a.m.

The Morris and Essex Line and Gladstone Branch lines were tempoerarily suspended in both directions.

The person’s identity was not immediately released. What led them to be struck was not immediately disclosed.
