Optimum restoring service to customers after NY, NJ, CT hit by cable outage

NEW YORK — Altice USA says service is being restored after a widespread outage left customers in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut without cable TV and internet service.

Altice spokeswoman Lisa Anselmo said Saturday morning that crews “worked around the clock” and service under the company’s Optimum brand is returning to normal.

Optimum customers started tweeting that their service was out at about 8 p.m. Friday.

By early Saturday, Optimum tweeted that service was coming back online.
