Fuel spill in Queens causing backup on Long Island Expressway

LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens — AIR11 was over the scene as FDNY and Hazmat crews work to clean up an apparent fuel leak on a Queens street Wednesday morning.

AIR11 showed the truck leaking fuel located near Borden Avenue and Van Dam Street in Long Island City, right off Exit 15 on the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway.

AIR11 captured traffic starting to back up on the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
