Woman struck by NJ Transit bus in New Jersey

ORANGE, N.J. — A woman was struck by an NJ Transit bus in New Jersey Thursday morning.

The bus on the 21 line was pulling away from a stop as it traveled from Newark Penn Station to West Orange, NJ Transit officials said.

The woman was running alongside the bus when she was struck, NJ Transit said.

She was taken to the hospital for her injuries.

The extent of her injuries was not immediately known.
