M train popular alternate route during L train slowdown

It’s the second weekend for work in one of the tunnels that brings the L train back and forth between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

L trains are supposed to run every twenty minutes during the weekends and overnight.

MTA officials say ridership on the M line has nearly doubled since work started on the L line, especially during peak weekend hours.

Additional service was added on the M line, as well as the J and G lines.
