NEW YORK — April 11 is National Pet Day.
It was established about 10 years ago. Although it is an unofficial holiday, people and animals are marking the occasion.
Some adorable dogs greeted passengers at JFK on Thursday. Two dogs and their owners set up a temporary home in the airport's Terminal 4 concourse.
The dogs were representing The ARK at JFK, the Queens airport's animal care and quarantine facility.
PIX11 celebrated this day by showcasing four pets from Brooklyn Zoo and Aquarium, a family owned and operated shop.
