Several injured in UWS building fire: FDNY

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan — A fire broke out at an Upper West Side building Monday morning.

Fire officials received a call of the blaze at 489 Columbus Ave. around 7:30 a.m.

The fire started on the first floor of a building with apartments above businesses.

At least 16 people suffered minor injuries, including two firefighters, according to fire officials.
