Brooklyn community rallies for safer streets

Many in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights have safety concerns revolving around drivers.

There were more than 3,000 traffic collisions in a one-year period in Bay ridge and Dyker Heights; that is 400 more than the average number in other parts of Brooklyn. In this district there have been two fatalities since the beginning of this year.

Residents met Wednesday night to discuss the problem.
