Service restored on 7 train after smoke condition investigation

QUEENS, New York— Service on the 7 train has resumed after it was temporarily suspended Friday morning while FDNY investigated a smoke condition.

Service between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza was snarled while the FDNY investigate the source of smoke in the tubes between Manhattan and Queens, the MTA said Friday.

FDNY responded to a call for smoke condition at the 7 -train stop near Grand Central  station.

A brief investigation revealed reports of the smoke were unfounded.
