1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on Long Island: police

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on Long Island early Tuesday, Nassau police said.

It occurred around midnight at Acacia Road and Baldwin Boulevard in Hempstead, police said.

One person is confirmed dead.

The road is currently closed in both directions, according to police.
