MTA bus fatally strikes pedestrian in Queens: NYPD

JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens — A man was struck and killed by an MTA bus early Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

A man was struck and killed by an MTA bus early Monday morning in Queens.

Police say the pedestrian was walking west 75th Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights at about 3 a.m. when he was struck.

The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he later died. His identification is being withheld pending family notification.

Police say the 55-year-old driver of the bus stayed on scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
