NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities say the driver of a stolen car struck three police cruisers during a pursuit that went through two New Jersey towns and ended with the arrests of five juveniles.
The vehicle was stolen Sunday night in Hillside Township and was soon driven to Newark, where it struck a cruiser. A pursuit ensued and two more cruisers were struck before the stolen vehicle was stopped at a city high school.
The five youths were captured a short time later. Their names have not been released and details on the charges they are facing were not disclosed.
No serious injuries were reported in the pursuit or the crashes.
