Two firefighters injured as fire rages Mount Vernon home

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — Flames ripped through a home in Mount Vernon Monday, AIR11 footage showed.

The fire broke out shortly after 8:15 a.m. inside a multi-story home that houses three families on Fletcher Avenue near Overlook Street.

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital where they were treated and released, officials with the Mount Vernon Fire Department said.
