Firefighters knock down fire at Brooklyn building

CYPRESS HILLS, Brooklyn — Firefighters were able to put out a fire at a Brooklyn building early Thursday.

Fire officials received a call shortly after 5 a.m. about a blaze at 127 Ashford St. in Cypress Hills.

The fire started on the first floor grocery store of the building, which has apartments above, according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported.
