Fire breaks out in Brooklyn high-rise; multiple people trapped: FDNY

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn — Multiple people were trapped inside a Brooklyn high-rise after a fire broke out Saturday night, FDNY officials said.

The fire started on the eighth floor of the 13-story building, located at 2926 W 25th St., shortly after 9 p.m.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire within an hour and rescued those trapped.

No injuries were reported.
