MARINERS HARBOR, Staten Island — A tractor-trailer crashed into three houses in Mariners Harbor early Monday morning, leaving two injured, the FDNY said.

The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. on South Avenue near Arlington Place.

Authorities said all gas and electric utilities were turned off on the three properties following the crash and the FDNY was working to unload fuel from the tractor-trailer.

Con Edison workers were on scene to assess the damage. Authorities said four homes in total were evacuated.

Two people were transported to a hospital, including the driver.

PIX11 spoke with homeowner Emerson Willis.

“I heard a loud roar and then a bang, ran downstairs, forced the door open come out to see this truck sitting inside my house,” Willis said.

Willis' front porch was nearly destroyed.

“It’s a shame what happened to the house but it's a structure, we’re ok.”
