The USS Intrepid celebrates its 75th anniversary: The USS Intrepid was built during WWII for the U.S. Navy. This year, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Intrepid’s commissioning.
Recalling memories: PIX11’s Marvin Scott has had a close tie with the Intrepid, being an instrumental part of bringing the Concorde on the Intrepid in NY. He tells us what’s most inspiring about the Intrepid and recalls his memories.
Restoring planes: The Intrepid is home to about 28 authentically restored aircrafts. Eric Boehm, curator of aviation gives us a peek of some of the planes being restored and what they do to bring these aircrafts into pristine condition.
Hometown team: These men once served as crewmembers aboard the Intrepid. Now, they’re working as museum volunteers, continuing their service with the Intrepid. They recalled their most memorable moments on the ship.

Intrepid food: Then and now: Kelly Hallquest of Legends showcases some best sellers and provides a little history lesson with food served to those serving in the Navy back then. Legends, located on the Intrepid’s Welcome Center on the second floor, is open to the public.
