21-year-old Bronx man fatally shot in Harlem: police

NEW YORK — The New York Police Department says a 21-year-old Bronx man has been fatally shot on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

The NYPD says officers responded around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to a 911 call reporting a man arriving at St. Luke's Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The NYPD says the man was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He has been identified as Rashaun Pope, who lived on College Avenue in the Bronx.

Police say the shooting occurred near West 125th Street and 12th Avenue in Harlem.

No arrests have been reported. Police say an investigation is underway.
