NEW YORK -- Trump Tower is no stranger to a heightened police presence.

But the bomb scare that turned the New York White House into a frozen zone Friday evening was significant for what was reportedly found inside the atrium area not one, but at least two, possibly three, potential explosive devices.

For the better part of an hour, no one was allowed down the short stretch of 5th Avenue in front of Trump Tower until the NYPD bomb squad was able to ultimately determine that the area was clear – and the devices caused no danger to the public.

Just after 7 p.m. on Friday the NYPD tweeted and said, "The situation at Trump Tower (725 5th Ave, ) has been assessed. There is no danger at this time."
