1 injured following chemical explosion in Rockville Centre

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — One person was injured by a chemical explosion at a Rockville Centre hotel Friday, police said.

There was a chemical reaction of some type at the Ramada on Sunrise Highway around noon, officials said. One person was injured after coming in contact with the chemicals.

It was not immediately clear how bad the injury was.

No identifying information was available for the victim.
