Police investigate Montclair high school bathroom sexual assault claims

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Police are investigating reports of a sexual assault at Montclair Highs School involving two minors, officials said.

Principal James Earle let the parents know about the alleged incident in the school’s all-gender bathroom in a Monday email. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is now investigating.

Police say the victim is a girl and the alleged attacker is a boy.

There are no criminal charges yet.
