1 dead, 2 injured in Bronx shooting that may be gang related

FOXHURST, the Bronx — One man was killed and two others injured after a possibly gang-related shooting in the Bronx Tuesday night.

It happened just after 10 p.m. at Prospect Avenue and East 164th Street where police responded to reports of a male shot.

Officers arrived and found three men with gunshot wounds; One man, 26, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and back and was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

A 17-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the head was taken to the hospital in critical condition. A third man, 29, suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and is in the hospital in serious condition, police said.

It is not yet known what led to the shooting. According to police sources, they believe the shooting was gang related.

Police say the alleged shooter is described as a man in a gray hoodie who drove off in a sedan.

No arrests have been made.
