Car, NJ Transit Light Rail train collide in Newark

NEWARK, N.J. — Newark Light Rail service has resumed after it was temporarily disrupted Wednesday morning following an crash involving a car and a light rail train.

The incident happened at about 6 a.m. when a car collided with a light rail train near 1 Center St. in Newark, NJ Transit officials said.

At least five passengers were on the train. There were no injuries reported, officials said.
