The documentary "Wasted Talent" centers on the rise and fall of actor Lillo Brancato, whose descent in drug use derailed his career and resulted in the death of a young police officer.

The controversial documentary is due to be released sometime this year, and has already won a best documentary award from the New York City International Film Festival, but there is one audience it will likely not win any acclaim from — the NYPD.
