NEW YORK — NJ Transit has resumed service after it was temporarily suspended between New York Penn Station and Newark Penn Station during the Friday morning rush-hour.
The suspension was announced at 6:41 a.m. due to an Amtrak trespasser at Secaucus, NJ Transit tweeted. Trains resumes by 7:15 a.m., but faced hourlong delays.
During the suspension, Midtown Direct trains were diverted to Hoboken.
PATH accepted NJ Transit tickets and passes at Newark Penn, Hoboken and 33rd ST-NY, and NJ Transit bus and private carriers accepted NJ Transit rail tickets and passes.
