NJ snowboarder on making it to the Olympics after near-death experience

A New Jersey native is among the 244 athletes participating in the Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. Snowboarder AJ Muss, from Rumson, NJ, is currently practicing in Japan with members of Team USA to prep for his snowboarding event.

Nearly two years ago, the athlete was in a coma after a serious snowboarding accident—and now he’s competing for Olympic gold. He speaks with PIX11 anchor Betty Nguyen about his journey and what’s ahead for him.
