MOTT HAVEN, the Bronx — A woman was shot in the face and killed outside a Bronx bodega Monday night after she got into a dispute with a man inside the store, police said.

Shaquana Button, 36, argued with the man inside the Candy & Grocery deli located at 728 E. 149th St. at about 11:40 p.m., according to police. The fight continued outside the deli where it escalated, a police source told PIX11.

Police said the man shot her in the face and fled on foot.

Button was pronounced dead at the scene.

In surveillance video obtained by PIX11, Button is seen repeatedly arguing with a man in the store, who then follows her outside. Seconds later, people inside the store appear to hear a gunshot and rush to the door.

Police have not yet definitively said the man in the video is the shooter.
