Emergency officials responded to an 11th floor apartment on E 174th Street and Susan Trivano, 54, dead at the scene, police said. Suchari Guzman, 29, later died at the hospital.

Police believe a 52-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the head is the shooter. He is in critical condition at the hospital. The initial investigation points toward a murder-suicide attempt.

He'd been dating Trivano, sources said. The couple broke up on Tuesday.

A 1-year-old girl was in the apartment at the time, police said. She was not harmed during the shooting.

Police recovered a handgun at the scene.

Officials initially said all three people had died in the shooting.

No identifying information was immediately available for the victims.
