Fire at Paterson home leaves residents displaced

PATERSON, N.J. — A fire that spread to a home in Paterson, New Jersey early Tuesday morning left residents displaced, officials say.

The third alarm fire started in an abandoned building at 36 Auburn Street just before 4 a.m.

The fire quickly spread to the neighboring house, forcing residents to evacuate.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
