Child, 9, hit by truck in East New York

BROOKLYN — A 9-year-old boy was struck by a truck while walking home from school in East New York, police say.

It happened around 3:41 p.m. as he crossed Linden Boulevard near Crescent Street.

The boy was rushed to the hospital with a leg injury, officials say. He is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
