Motorcyclist dead in fatal hit-and-run in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND — A motorcyclist is dead after getting struck by a box truck in Staten Island.

The incident happened around West Service Road and Victory Boulevard after 11 a.m. where a motorcycle was going at a high speed when it struck a box truck, police said.

The motorcyclist, later identified as Matthew Randazzo, 28, was pronounced dead on scene.

Police are looking for the driver of the box truck, who fled the scene.

Investigation is ongoing.
