Worker suspects peeping Tom at Queens elementary school: NYPD

REGO PARK, Queens — Police are investigating after a school worker in Queens said she saw a person peering into a bathroom she was using, NYPD said.

The suspected incident happened about 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 15 at PS 174 William Sidney Mount Elementary in Rego Park, police said Wednesday.

The 43-year-old woman told police that while she was using the restroom, she thought she saw a man peering in, holding a phone against a window. She suspects the alleged peeping Tom was videotaping or photographing her without her permission.

There is no description of the suspected leerer at this time. No arrests have been made.

The Department of Education released this statement to PIX11 News:

“The safety and security of students and staff is our top priority. The NYPD responded to and is investigating an incident that took place at 28Q174 last week. The school community has been notified and we’re working with the school to address it.”
