Man struck by MTA bus in Queens when he runs into street to get skateboard

QUEENS — A 25-year-old man was struck by an MTA bus when he ran into the street in Queens to retrieve his skateboard, police say.

It happened around 6:27 p.m. at Union Turnpike and Queens Boulevard.

The man, who has not been identified, was transported to Jamaica in critical condition.

The driver of the bus remained at this scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
