Staten Island students graduate from NYPD opioid program

NEW DORP, Staten Island — Gym class was turned into an intensive program that taught students at New Dorp High School the dangers of opioids, like heroin and fentanyl, which are a prevelant problem in Staten Island.

On Friday, those ninth-graders graduated from the 5-week program that paired them with the NYPD.
