NEW YORK, May 15, 2017— PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship station, today announced the station has won a New York Press Club Journalism award in the category of Feature-Science Medicine & Technology for their work with Yankees legend Jorge Posada and his wife, Laura in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. In the series, PIX11 Anchor Dan Mannarino traveled to Puerto Rico to bring sick people in need of medical care back to the mainland as part of the Posada’s relief mission.
