BUSHWICK, Brooklyn — One teen is dead and another is in critical condition after falling from a building in Brooklyn Friday evening, according to the FDNY.

It happened at 5:32 p.m. at a building on Grove Street in Bushwick.

The teen boys were taken to the hospital where the 13-year-old was pronounced deceased and the other remains in critical condition.

The teenage boy has been identified as Rame Pierre-Louis of Brooklyn.

Neighbors in the area told PIX11 they heard a "thud."

NYPD detectives are still trying to piece together what happened and why the boys were on the roof.

"Often times they come to the roof, they don't even live in the building," a neighbor added.
