Guerrero, 39, was crossing the street at the intersection of Sheffield and Jamaica avenues shortly after 4 a.m. when a vehicle struck him.

When police arrived, they found Guerrero with severe trauma to his body. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle that struck him, said to be a black sedan, did not stay on the scene.

Mourners gathered at the scene Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil to honor the beloved DJ.

Police are still looking for the driver and released surveillance video of the vehicle they believe was involved in the hit-and-run.

Guerrero last posted on Instagram and Twitter around 3 a.m. The post was a photo of the crowd at Caoba Brooklyn Bistro in Cypress Hills with the caption:

"I'm sorry con excuse me!!! But @caoba_bistro is no freakin joke!!! We got this lit and a half!! And it's only 3am wow!! #quericoooo mega Sunday's!!! This is just stupid!!!! Wow!!!"
