Teen punches 12-year-old girl in Coney Island, steals her groceries: police

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn -- Police are looking for a 15-year-old boy who is accused of punching a 12-year-old girl and stealing her groceries in the Coney Island area of Brooklyn.

The assault happened Monday around 3:35 p.m.

Police say the suspect grabbed the young girl, pulled her into an alley adjacent to 2834 Stillwell Avenue and punched her in the face.

coney island robberyThe teen then stole the girl's groceries, $3 in cash and fled.

The victim sustained bruises to the face during the incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing black clothing and a black book bag with a colorful pattern on it.
