Man breaks into Bronx apartment using fire escape, attempts to rape woman: NYPD

THE BRONX — Police are looking for a man who allegedly broke into a Bronx apartment and attempted to rape a woman.

The woman, 20, was in her apartment near Taylor Avenue in the Soundview section of the Bronx on Nov. 6 about 1:30 a.m. when a man allegedly broke into her apartment by using the fire escape, police said.

The man came through the kitchen window and demanded the woman to touch his penis, police said. She followed his orders and he masturbated, then fled the apartment by using the fire escape.

The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The man is described as being about 200 pounds, 5 feet 7 inches. He was last seen wearing a light colored hat, dark colored pants, light colored jacket with black and white shoes.
