NEW YORK — A Bronx homeless shelter with more than a dozen moms needed a new set of wheels after their van broke down.

The shelter reached out to PIX11 for help.

"We really need a van but it will cost so many thousands of dollars. It would be a miracle," said Chris Bell, the Director of Good Counsel.

After the story aired in September, the owner of Major World made it happen.

"Thank you PIX11 for giving us the opportunity to help. It's great we get to help these moms just before Thanksgiving," said Adam Cohen, the Owner of Major World.

Cohen handed the keys to the new van to the moms.

"Thank you," said one of the toddlers.
