Suspects pretend to have gun, rob cab driver in Williamsburg: NYPD

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn — Police are searching for two men accused of robbing a taxi driver in Brooklyn.

The driver picked up the two men at the corner of Moore Street and Manhattan Avenue in the Williamsburg section of the borough around 12:40 a.m.

While riding in the cab, one of the suspects allegedly simulated a firearm and removed the 51-year-old driver’s Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet.

The driver was not injured as a result of the incident.

Both suspects are described as being teenagers.  Police have released photos of the two suspects with the hope that somebody will recognize them.
