Man’s body found in Hudson River near the Bronx

RIVERDALE, The Bronx — A man’s body was found floating in the Hudson River near the Riverdale section of the Bronx Saturday afternoon.

Police received a 911 call about a body in the river in the vicinity of Railroad Terrace and W. 254th Street about 12:35 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man, said to be in his 30s, unconscious and unresponsive in the water.

The man was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death, police said.
