BUSHWICK, Brooklyn — It's called Hope Hardens in Bushwick but long-time residents say they have little hope it will stay clean.

It's become a dumping ground for trash lately some say.

"It's horrible. They need to clean up more," said one resident who did not want to be identified.

PIX11 News first visited the complex in July when viewers complained about the conditions just outside a playground on Grove Street.

It was electronics graveyard -- a real danger for kids.

When PIX11 notified the housing authority about the problem, they cleaned it up in 24 hours.

But now the trash is back.

A viewer emailed a picture of a massive trash pile in a parking lot near that same playground and a day care.

The housing authority says they are looking into the trash problem.

"NYCHA staff at Hope Gardens have cleared the garbage and will monitor the situation closely," an agency spokesperson said in a statement.
