Fire breaks out at Lower Manhattan high-rise

LOWER MANHATTAN — Smoke filled the air when fire broke out at a Lower Manhattan high-rise Saturday afternoon.

The 29-floor building is located at 100 John St. near Gold Street. Firefighters have arrived at the scene.

It’s unclear how the fire started.
